A Serious Man

A Serious Man is a seriously boring man. For me, Coen Brothers have never captured the magic and ingenuity they sparked in their first movie, Blood Simple. That movie has suspense, interesting characters and cinematic styles. Their latest work seems to question all the ironies in life, but it simply doesn’t make a captivating story on screen. Too many directors want to use screen to make statements about life and they forget that movie is a type of entertainment. They need to make movies entertaining and thought provoking at the SAME time.
